Tropical Cyclone 12E (Lowell) is located about 710 miles northwest of Lihue, Hawaii

Tropical Cyclone 14E (Norbert) is located about 755 miles southwest of the southern tip of Baja CA

Northeast Pacific:  

Tropical Cyclone 14E (Norbert)

NORBERT FORECAST TO GRADUALLY STRENGTHEN

According to the NHC advisory number 4…

Norbert is moving toward the west near 14 mph (22 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue through Friday. A turn toward the west-northwest is forecast by Friday night. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual strengthening is forecast over the next several days. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1003 mb (29.62 inches).

>>> Central Portion and West Portion of the East Pacific:

Showers and thunderstorms associated with a broad area of low pressure are located several hundred miles southwest of the southwestern Mexico coast. Gradual development of this system is expected, and a tropical depression is likely to form by early next week while it moves generally westward over central and western portions of the East Pacific.

Central North Pacific:  

Tropical Cyclone 12E (Lowell) 

LOWELL REMAINS A BROAD TROPICAL STORM AS IT MOVES OVER THE OPEN CENTRAL PACIFIC OCEAN

According to the NHC advisory number 58…

Lowell is moving toward the west near 15 mph (24 km/h). A general westward motion is forecast to continue for the next day or so. Then, the system is expected to slow down and turn northeastward this weekend. Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is expected during the next day or so, but Lowell is forecast to remain a tropical storm for the next few days. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 185 miles (295 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 988 mb (29.18 inches).

Disorganized showers and thunderstorms located well to the south-southeast of the Hawaiian Islands are associated with a broad trough of low pressure. Some gradual development of this system is possible late this week and into the weekend while it moves generally northward and then meanders to the southeast of the Hawaiian Islands.
