The Pacific Disaster Center’s (PDC Global) Friday, October 2, 2026, Tropical Cyclone Activity Report…for the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of America

Current Tropical Cyclones:

There are no Tropical Cyclones

 

Atlantic Ocean: There are no active tropical cyclones

Remnants of Fay

A trough of low pressure associated with the remnants of former Tropical Storm Fay is located several hundred miles south-southeast of Bermuda.

Despite ongoing thunderstorm activity, dry air and strong upper-level winds are expected to prevent significant re-development while it moves north-northwestward at 5 to 10 mph to the east of Bermuda.

Any formation chances should end by Sunday due to very strong upper-level winds.

Caribbean Sea: There are no active tropical cyclones

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 7 days.
