The Pacific Disaster Center’s (PDC Global) Sunday, July 19, 2026, Tropical Cyclone Activity Report…for the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of America

Current Tropical Cyclones:

Tropical Cyclone 02A…is located 155 miles south of Panama City, Florida

 

Atlantic Ocean: There are no active tropical cyclones

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 7 days.

Caribbean Sea: There are no active tropical cyclones

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 7 days.

 

Gulf of America: 

Tropical Cyclone 02A

TROPICAL DEPRESSION FORMS OFF THE WEST COAST OF FLORIDA …TROPICAL STORM WATCH ISSUED FOR THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE

According to the NHC Advisory number 1

The depression is moving toward the north-northwest near 2 mph and a slow northwestward or north-northwestward motion is expected during the next day or two, followed by a turn toward the west.

On the forecast track, the depression will move near or along the northern Gulf coast during the next several days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph with higher gusts. Gradual strengthening is forecast, and the depression is expected to become a tropical storm tonight or on Monday.
