The Pacific Disaster Center’s (PDC Global) Thursday, September 11, 2025, Tropical Cyclone Activity Report…for the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of America

Current Tropical Cyclones:

There are no Tropical Cyclones

 

Atlantic Ocean: There are no active tropical cyclones

Eastern and Central Tropical Atlantic:

A tropical wave located near the west coast of Africa is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms over the far eastern Atlantic.

Environmental conditions appear conducive for some gradual development of this system over the next several days.

A tropical depression could form during the early to middle part of next week while it moves westward to west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph over the eastern and central tropical Atlantic.

* Formation chance through 48 hours…low…near 0 percent
* Formation chance through 7 days…medium…40 percent

 

Caribbean Sea:  There are no active tropical cyclones

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 7-days.

Gulf of America:  There are no active tropical cyclones

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 7-days.
