The Pacific Disaster Center’s (PDC Global) Saturday, June 17, 2023, Tropical Cyclone Activity Report…for the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, and adjacent Seas
Current Tropical Cyclones:
There are no active tropical cyclones at the time of this writing
Northeast Pacific Ocean:
Central East Pacific
Disorganized showers and thunderstorms continue in association with a tropical wave located several hundred miles south-southwest of southern Mexico.
Some slow development is possible during the next two to three days while the system moves west-northwestward at
about 10 mph.
However, the system is then expected to move into a more unfavorable environment by the middle portion of next week.
* Formation chance through 48 hours…low…20 percent
* Formation chance through 7 days…low…30 percent
Central Pacific Ocean:
There are no tropical cyclones…nor any areas of disturbed weather under investigation by the Central Pacific Hurricane Center (CPHC)
Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 7-days.
Western Pacific, Indian Ocean and adjacent Seas:
There are no tropical cyclones…nor any areas of disturbed weather under investigation by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC)
