The Pacific Disaster Center’s (PDC Global) Friday, September 15, 2023, Tropical Cyclone Activity Report…for the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, and adjacent Seas

Current Tropical Cyclones:

Tropical Cyclone 12E…is located about 1255 miles east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii

Northeast Pacific Ocean:

Tropical Cyclone 12E

RAGGED TROPICAL DEPRESSION TWELVE-E CONTINUING TO MOVE TOWARD THE WEST-SOUTHWEST

According to the NHC advisory number 2…

The depression is moving toward the west-southwest near 9 mph (15 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days until dissipation.

Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next day or so, with dissipation expected in the next couple of days.

Central North Pacific…

There are no active tropical cyclones at the time of this writing

Western Pacific, Indian Ocean and adjacent Seas:

There are no Tropical Cyclones…nor any areas of disturbed weather being investigated by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC)
