The Pacific Disaster Center’s (PDC Global) Monday, September 25, 2023, Tropical Cyclone Activity Report…for the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, and adjacent Seas

Current Tropical Cyclones:

Tropical Cyclone 13W…is located approximately 52 NM west-northwest of Da Nang, Vietnam – Final Warning

 

Northeast Pacific Ocean:

There are no tropical cyclones nor any areas of disturbed weather that are under investigation by the NHC

Central North Pacific:

There are no tropical cyclones, nor any areas of disturbed weather that are under investigation by the CPHC

Western Pacific, Indian Ocean and adjacent Seas:

Western Pacific…

Tropical Cyclone 13W – Final Warning

According to the JTWC Warning number 3

Sustained winds were 30 knots…with gusts to near 40 knots

Radar, satellite imagery and synoptic observations indicate that the system made landfall a few hours ago in central Vietnam, following a brief period of consolidation just offshore.

TD 13W will continue to move inland under the steering influence of well-entrenched subtropical ridging to the north and steadily dissipate over the next 24 hours.
