The Pacific Disaster Center’s (PDC Global) Thursday, June 22, 2023, Tropical Cyclone Activity Report…for the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, and adjacent Seas

Current Tropical Cyclones:

There are no active tropical cyclones at the time of this writing

 

Northeast Pacific Ocean:

Off the Southwestern Coast of Mexico

An area of low pressure is likely to form this weekend a few hundred miles offshore of the coast of southern Mexico.

Environmental conditions are forecast to be favorable for development of this system, and a tropical depression is expected to form early next week while it moves generally west-northwestward parallel to the southwestern coast of Mexico.

* Formation chance through 48 hours…low…near 0 percent
* Formation chance through 7 days…high…70 percent

 

Central Pacific Ocean:

There are no tropical cyclones…nor any areas of disturbed weather under investigation by the Central Pacific Hurricane Center (CPHC)

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 7-days.

 

Western Pacific, Indian Ocean and adjacent Seas:

There are no tropical cyclones…nor any areas of disturbed weather under investigation by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC)
