The Pacific Disaster Center’s (PDC Global) Saturday, June 24, 2023, Tropical Cyclone Activity Report…for the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico
CURRENT TROPICAL CYCLONES:
Remnants of Tropical Cyclone 03L (Bret)…is located about 160 miles west-northwest of Northern tip of Guajira, Columbia – Last Advisory
Tropical Cyclone 04L (Cindy)…is located about 465 miles east-northeast of the Lesser Antilles

BRET OPENS INTO A TROUGH
According to the NHC advisory number 22
The remnants are moving toward the west near 21 mph (33 km/h).
Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 115 miles (185 km) from the center.
HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND
Surf: Swells generated by the remnants of Bret will affect coastal areas adjacent to the central Caribbean Sea today. These swells could cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions.
Tropical Cyclone 04L (Cindy)
AIRCRAFT FINDS CINDY MOVING QUICKLY NORTHWESTWARD
According to the NHC advisory number 11
Cindy is moving quickly toward the northwest near 21 mph (33 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue, with a gradual slowdown. On the forecast track, Cindy should pass well to the northeast of the northernmost Leeward Islands.
Maximum sustained winds remain near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts. Weakening is forecast over the next several days, and Cindy could degenerate into a trough of low pressure by the middle portion of this week.
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km) to the north of the center.
