https://www.metoc.navy.mil/jtwc/products/abpwsair.jpg There’s a tropical disturbance, being referred to as Invest 93A, that’s located approximately 332 NM south-southwest of Mumbai, India. According to the JTWC, satellite imagery depicts a broad, consolidating circulation with some formative banding to the east. There continues to be persistent convection associated with this system. Environmental analysis indicates low 10-15 knot wind shear, continued westerly upper level outflow, and warm sea surface temperatures. Global models are in agreement that 93A will consolidate over the next 36-48 hours and track generally northward. Maximum sustained surface winds are estimated at 15-20 knots. The potential for development of a significant tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours remains medium.
