Tropical Depression 01E (Andres)
WEAKENING ANDRES NOW A TROPICAL DEPRESSION Here’s what the computer models are showing According to the NHC advisory #7, the depression is moving toward the north-northwest near 7 mph (11 km/h). A turn to the northwest and west-northwest is expected on Tuesday, followed by a westward motion on Wednesday. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Additional weakening is expected during the next couple of days, and Andres is forecast to become a remnant low on Tuesday and dissipate by early Thursday. Here’s the link to the National Hurricane Center (NHC)   There’s a tropical disturbance being referred to as Invest 92A, which is located approximately 320 NM south-southeast of Socotra, Yemen. Here’s was the computer models are showing According to the JTWC, satellite imagery reveals disorganized banding with cycling convection wrapping into a relatively weak low level circulation. Environmental analysis indicate invest 92A is in an area of favorable tropical development with good poleward outflow aloft, low (10-15kt) wind sheer and very warm sea surface temperature. Global models are in good agreement that invest 92A will consolidate while it intensifies…as it tracks eastward. Maximum sustained surface winds are estimated at 23-28 knots. The potential for the development of a significant tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours is medium.
