CURRENT TROPICAL CYCLONES:

Tropical Cyclone 02A (Nisarga)…is located approximately 123 NM south-southwest of Mumbai, India

  Tropical Cyclone 02A (Nisarga) Sustained winds of 55 knots, with gusts to 70 knots…as of Warning 2 Here’s what the computer models are showing According to the JTWC, satellite imagery shows tight banding, deep central convection, and equatorward and poleward outflow channels. With moderate 10-20 knot wind shear, warm sea surface temperatures, and equatorward and poleward outflow, the environment supports intensification. Over the next 12 hours, the track will shift northeastward, and should make landfall just south of Mumbai…shortly before 12 hours. The favorable environment will support some intensification prior to landfall. After landfall the cyclone will weaken and dissipate below warning threshold prior to 24 hours…as it tracks further inland.
