According to the JTWC, satellite imagery shows disorganized cloud banding wrapping into a weak low level circulation.
Invest 99S is in an environment favorable for further development, with good westward upper level outflow, warm sea surface temperatures…and low to moderate 15-20 knot wind shear.
Global models are in good agreement that invest 99S will track to the west with intensification over the next 36-48 hours.

The potential for the development of a significant tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours remains low.
