Here’s what the computer models are showing for Linda
According to the NHC Advisory 35…Linda is moving toward the west-northwest near 14 mph (22 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue through the weekend.
Maximum sustained winds are near 100 mph (155 km/h) with higher gusts. Steady weakening is forecast through Friday, and Linda is expected to become a gale-force post-tropical cyclone on Saturday.
Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 30 miles (45 km) from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km).
The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida, is issuing advisories on Hurricane Linda, located around 1400 miles east of Hilo, Hawaii. The latest forecast indicates that Linda will move into the Central Pacific Hurricane Center’s area of responsibility as a weakening tropical storm or low-end category 1 hurricane as early as tomorrow afternoon.

According to the JTWC, satellite imagery reveals flaring convection to the south-southwest periphery as well as banding into a low level circulation.
Environmental analysis indicates a favorable environment characterized by radial outflow, low (10-15 knot) wind shear, and very warm sea surface temperatures.
Global numerical models generally agree that invest 16W will track northwestward over the next 48 hours.
Maximum sustained surface winds are estimated at 15-20 knots.
The potential for the development of a significant tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours is high.
