CURRENT TROPICAL CYCLONES
Tropical Cyclone 18E (Paul) is located about 780 miles west of the southern tip of Baja California
Tropical Cyclone 17E (Olivia) is located about 380 miles east-northeast of Hilo, Hawaii
Tropical Cyclone 26W (Mangkhut) is located about 201 NM west of Navsta, Guam
Tropical Cyclone 27W (Barijat) is located about 266 NM east-southeast of Hong Kong
According to the NHC…The depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 9 mph, and this motion is expected to continue for a couple of days. A turn to the west is expected by Thursday.
Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 35 mph with higher gusts. Additional weakening is forecast, and Paul is expected to degenerate into a remnant low in a couple of days.
According to the CPHC…Olivia is moving toward the west near 10 mph. A continued west to west-southwest motion is expected for the next few days. On the forecast track, Olivia will be moving over the main Hawaiian Islands late Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, but Olivia is expected to remain a tropical storm as it moves across the islands.
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles from the center.
HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND –
WIND: Tropical storm conditions are expected somewhere within the warning area starting late Tuesday. Tropical storm conditions are possible within the watch area starting early Wednesday morning.
RAINFALL: Olivia is expected to produce total rainfall accumulations of 10 to 15 inches. Isolated maximum amounts of 20 inches are possible, especially over windward sections of Maui County and the Big Island. This rainfall may produce life-threatening flash flooding.
SURF: Large swells generated by Olivia will spread from east to west across the Hawaiian Islands early this week. This will cause surf to build along exposed east facing shorelines as Olivia approaches. This surf may become damaging across parts of the state.

According to the JTWC…this typhoon became stronger as it moved through the Northern Marianas Islands, between Rota and Tinian. It will reach supertypho0n strength before it moves through the area between northern Luzon Island and Taiwan…towards the east coast of China as a weakening typhoon

According to the JTWC…this storm will become a bit stronger, as it passes south and southwest of Taiwan, south of Hong Kong…and then on towards the area just north of Hainan Island
