There are no active tropical cyclones at the time of this writing
The Atlantic Ocean is quiet in terms of possible tropical cyclone development, although an area of warm water (1-3 degrees above normal for this time of year) in the western Caribbean…may become active in terms of tropical cyclone development later this week.
The area is in an oceanic region where tropical cyclones have been known to develop during the late October and November time frame.
Areas from Central America and Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula to Cuba, the Florida Peninsula, the Bahamas, Hispaniola and Puerto Rico should monitor tropical weather conditions this week.
1.) A broad area of low pressure is expected to form over the western Caribbean Sea during the next few days.
Slow development of this system is possible thereafter while it moves northwestward to northward.
