The 5-day outlook indicates that there are no new tropical cyclones expected to form
This tropical region of the world continues to be quiet, with tropical waves coming off Africa’s west coast pushing into dry air and a large area of Saharan dust, along with stronger than normal wind shear from the west…all of which greatly limits tropical cyclone activity.
NOAA Is calling for a 90% chance of a below average hurricane season, the highest odds for a relatively quiet year assigned at any point…since the outlooks began back in 1998.
