There’s a tropical disturbance being referred to as Invest 95S…which is located approximately 247 NM east of Christmas Island
According to the JTWC…satellite imagery shows a weak but well-defined low level circulation with winds of 15 knots near the center.
Environmental analysis reveals marginally favorable conditions for development with poleward outflow aloft and warm sea surface temperatures…offset by moderate to high (20-25 knot) vertical wind shear.
Global models are in agreement that 95S will have little development as is slowly tracks southeastward over the next 24-48 hours.
Maximum sustained surface winds are estimated at 10 to 15 knots.
The potential for the development of a significant tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours is low.
