There’s a tropical disturbance being referred to as Invest 93S…which is located approximately 273 NM northwest of Mauritius

According to the JTWC, satellite imagery depicts flaring convection sheared to the north of a partially obscured low level circulation center

Upper level analysis reveals a marginal environment with equatorward outflow aloft offset by moderate to high (20-30 knot) vertical wind shear…while sea surface temperatures are favorable.

Dynamic models indicate consolidation and intensification over the next 24 hours as the system tracks west-southwestward.

Maximum sustained surface winds are estimated at 25 to 30 knots.

The potential for the development of a significant tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours remains high.
