There’s a tropical disturbance being referred to as Invest 93S…which is located approximately 329 NM west of Cocos Islands, Australia

According to the JTWC…satellite imagery shows flaring convection partially obscuring a low-level circulation.

The environment is marginally-favorable for tropical cyclone development with high (30-40 knot) vertical wind shear offset by warm sea surface temperatures and moderate poleward outflow.

Global numerical models agree that invest 93s will complete its binary interaction with TC 14S within the next 48 hours.

Maximum sustained surface winds are estimated at 28 to 33 knots.

The potential for the development of a significant tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours remains medium.
