Offering the following alert severity levels:

Severity levels are determined by PDC’s risk intelligence platform based on data and observations from authoritative agencies. U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) data for Hawaii is automatically processed in real time.
Advisory
A qualified weather service has issued a high wind advisory.
Watch
High wind has the potential for adverse impacts to population or infrastructure.
Warning
High wind is imminent or occurring, with adverse impacts to population or infrastructure.

  • When safe to do so, secure objects around your home that are at risk of becoming airborne.
  • Limit outdoor activity as walking and driving may become difficult. If necessary to be outside, monitor conditions and alerts closely.
  • Prepare for power outages.
