Flooding continues around the world! In India about 5,360 people were reported missing and approximately 580 dead due to flooding in the state of Uttrakhand.  Rainfall continued in the region over the past weekend (DMD). Heavy rainfall over Guatemala caused flooding and landslides in the Huehuetenango, Quiché, and Izabal departments and is expected to continue over the next week (CPC); additional flooding and landslides are possible over western Guatemala as heavy rainfall is forecast to continue. Additionally, river flooding in the southeast United States has affected Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and is forecast to continue through the weekend (NWS/SRFC). PDC also monitored floods in Bangladesh, Nepal, and Tasmania.
