PDC Global Flood Survey

 Flooding, Flooding, and more Flooding!

Flooding, flooding, and more flooding!  Once again we see flooding occurring in many parts of the globe, including Africa, the United States, and Indonesia. In Africa, thousands of people have been reported displaced in many areas within Malawi and Mozambique due to flooding (NOAA). In the United States, significant river flooding has been reported as occurring or imminent in at least 7 states, including Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Indiana (NOAA). In Jakarta, Indonesia, at least 20,000 people have evacuated their homes due to flooding, resulting from torrential monsoon rains (AlertNet).
