PDC Global Hazards Atlas displaying 3 hour precipitation accumulation with NHC forecast positions, segments and error cones....for hurricane Ileana in the northeastern Pacific
Hurricane Ileana (9E) is active in the northeast Pacific. It remains over an area of warm sea water, along with light wind shear above, both of which will allow Ileana to remain a hurricane for about another 24 hours. As we push into Friday however, this hurricane will move over cooler sea water as it moves north, bringing Ileana down into the tropical storm category again. Thereafter, 9E is expected to weaken into a post-tropical/remnant low pressure system later this weekend. This tropical cyclone will remain offshore from land areas throughout its life cycle.
