FOR THE EASTERN NORTH PACIFIC…EAST OF 140 DEGREES WEST LONGITUDE:SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS NEAR THE CENTER OF A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM LOCATED ABOUT 475 MILES SOUTH OF THE GULF OF TEHUANTEPEC HAVE DECREASED OVER THE PAST FEW HOURS. HOWEVER…ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME A LITTLE MORE CONDUCIVE FOR THE LOW TO BECOME A TROPICAL DEPRESSION AS IT MOVES WEST TO WEST- NORTHWESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THIS SYSTEM HAS A MEDIUM CHANCE…40 PERCENT…OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.
ELSEWHERE…TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.
