A weak low pressure area centered about 840 miles south southwest of Honolulu was moving west slowly. Thunderstorms in the vicinity of this weak system continued to gradually diminish since the early morning hours. It was nearly void of thunderstorms this afternoon. Atmospheric conditions do not appear to be favorable for significant development during the next couple of days. There is a low chance, 10 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.
Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Wednesday morning
