An area of thunderstorms about 840 miles south southwest of Honolulu has diminished and remained disorganized throughout the morning. This area of disturbed weather was moving west slowly. Atmospheric conditions do not appear to be favorable for significant development in this area during the next couple of days. There is a low chance, 10 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.
Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Wednesday morning
