Almost all data services have been restored at around noon (HST).

Almost all modes of electronic communication, including many telephone lines, connecting Maui offline from approximately 1:00 a.m. (HST).

Maui’s Internet and phone service went down overnight. Preliminary information from service providers suggested an undersea fiber-cut affecting the entire island of Maui.

The PDC technical staff is working with providers to restore all services, and is starting with critical services, such as those most used by disaster management professionals and emergency service organizations. All services will be restored as quickly as possible, but PDC requests and appreciates your patience and understanding as we work to resolve these matters.
